Parking makes the front page of the Haslemere Herald (again)

Parking timescale ‘disappointment’ is the headline of a front article in this week’s Haslemere Herald:

HASLEMERE town council is to write to Surrey County Council expressing its “extreme disappointment” at the lack of time given to examine proposals for residents’ parking permits before the meeting of the Waverley Local Committee, at Haslemere Hall. (Editor’s note, meeting is 21st September 2012)

The county council has published its proposals after a preliminary public consultation in July and August. But the report and meeting agenda was only published on September 6, giving the town council just days to examine the proposals in detail and prepare a response.
